Schiffelbein-Knudson win Kansas Best of Bass Team Trail tournament at Big Hill
June 13th, Big Hill Lake - 14 teams made the trip to Big Hill lake and Chris Schiffelbein of Tecumseh, Ks and Kevin Knudson of Topeka, Ks finish in front of the rest. Bringing 13.05 pounds on four fish to the scales they finish first and with a 4.05 Big Bass they take home $815. They also take home 2 custom painted DD22's with 1st place and our logo and 1 with Big Bass.
Coming in 2nd with 10.50 pounds on 4 fish was Wayne Wittman of Topeka, Ks and John Walker of McFarland, Ks. They take home $450 dollars. Wayne is sponsored by Tightwad Bait and Tackle. John is sponsored by America's Express Co., Tightwad Bait and Tackle, and Tightlines Lure Co.
Finishing 3rd with 10.03 pounds on 4 fish was Chuck Gardner of Emporia, Ks and Don Hatch of Americus, Ks. They took home $225 dollars for their efforts.
With a 3.91 pound largemouth, Shawn and Justin Saathoff of Lawrence, Ks take home $50 for 2nd Big Bass.

Lane and Norton win Best of Kansas Bass Team Trail tournament
on Perry May 16
Again rain overnight and a cold front dropping the take-off temperature
to the mid-forties with wind gusting to 30 mph, Jeff Lane of
Mayetta, Ks and Randy Norton of Meriden, Ks finish in 1st place.
With a 5 fish limit, Lane and Norton brought 16.65 pounds to
the scales. Anchored by the 2nd big bass of the day at 4.47 pounds
they won by nearly 2 pounds. Finishing in the money for the second
straight tournament they took home $885 and 2 custom painted
DD22's with 1st place and our logo for their efforts. Jeff is
sponsored by PTMN INC. of Topeka and Randy is sponsored by R&S
Maintenance of Topeka.
Finishing in 2nd with 14.67 pounds from 5 fish
is Jim Potts of Hesston, Ks and Hollis Hensley of Peculiar, Mo.
With a 4.14 lb largemouth anchoring their catch they reported
culling at 10:30 on an all day bite. They took home $525 dollars.
Coming in 3rd was Chris Schiffelbein of Tecumseh,
Ks and Kevin Knudson of Topeka, Ks with 4 fish and 11.95 pounds.
They took home $300 dollars for their efforts.
In 4th place were newcomers Scotty Cavanaugh of
Meriden, Ks and Wayne Flerlage of Alma, Ks. With 4 fish at 11.53
pounds they took home $150 dollars.
With a 5.44 pound largemouth, the team of Bob Saathoff
of Topeka, Ks and Justin Saathoff of Lawrence, Ks take home $120
and a custom DD22 with Big Bass and our logo for 1st big bass.
Conditions were less than ideal with a cold front
that brought 30+ mph winds and temps in the 40's to Perry on
Saturday. 18 teams toughed it out to battle for nearly $2000
dollars in prize money plus 3 different gift certificates to
Dicks's Sporting Goods and 3 packs of custom made jigs from Fitzwater
Lures. 11 teams took something home.

and John Walker of McFarland, Ks take off last but come in firstst.
Bringing in 5 fish at 13.20 pounds they took home $775 and $60
for 2nd big bass. They also took home 2 custom painted DD22's
with the place and logo. Wayne is sponsored by Tightwad Bait

Bringing in the only other limit of 5 was the team
of Jeff Lane of Mayetta, Ks and Randy Norton of Meriden, Ks.
They brought 12.89 pounds to the scales and 1st big bass of 4.30
pounds to place 2nd. For their effort they took home $475 and
$100 for big bass and a custom painted DD22 with Big Bass and

by R&S Maintenance of Topeka.
Coming in 3rd with 4 fish at 10.47 pounds was Bob
Saathoff of Topeka, Ks and Shawn Saathoff of Lawrence, Ks. Bob
and Shawn took home $250.
Finishing 4th with 4 fish and 9.58 pounds was Jim
Potts of Hesston, Ks and Hollis Hensley of Peculiar, Mo.
