Fishing Reports

9 May 11, 2009 ABA Milford Lake Kansas Report
Mark KP Kirkpatrick

The morning started off cold and windy but I had located good fish the day before pre-fishing. My draw was second to last boat out; but to my surprise no one was on the spot when I pulled up, the fishing was fast and the bite was on, had 3 fish in the live well and a 4th on paper...What to do stay or leave? I caught short after short but not that 5th fish. I did move around noon to find that last keeper. No luck just more short fish on every other spot.
The day was good with a 5th place showing. A little cash from GCI Graphics Concepts (Thank you). I would like to thank my sponsors Vicious Fishing Line, Classic Destiny Rods , Christopher Bean Coffee , Justin Russell Marine and a big thank you to Honest Dave's plastics for making a Shaky head soft plastic worm/creature bait that just worked to perfection on the Smallmouth you can get them at Zeiners Angler Supply.

June 3, 2008 - Butler SFL - What a day at Butler SFL, thank you Boeing Bass Club for letting me fish with you all Saturday.

February 28, 2008 - Wichita Show - What a great time at the Kansas Sports, Boat and Travel Show, I loved talking with each individual on the great craftsman ship of a personal rod. We answered a lot of questions on how Neal crafts the right rod for you, and the benefits of a custom rod. Of course price is always the subject, but if you buy a great quality rod off the rack, it will cost you the same amount, and won't have the life time guarantee or the feel that you might expect. See with a crafted rod you pick the type of handle, blank manufacture, and what type of guides you put on it. Neal has a set of Zirconium guides that I swear are indestructible, we demonstrate this with a file, run the file over inside of the eye, and there isn't a nick on it.

I would like to thank all those that stopped by Classic Destiny Custom Rod Booth, Zeiners Booth, and asked questions on Snack Daddy lures, Vicious Fishing line.

August 27, 2007 - Butler SFL - My buddy and I decided to take a day off work and do a little fishing at Butler Fishing lake. we had a great time being the only ones at the lake. we caught fish all day, as you can see. My buddy caught the biggest Bass of the day 4.5 on a Bluegill colored Snack Daddy Split Stix, 12 LB Vicious Line. I was pitching a Snack Daddy Pro Tube, on 15LB VICIOUS FLUOROCARBON.

What a great time at the Skeeter Owners Tournament, Even though I didn't Catch that 10 pounder! I did walk the stage with a under slot. All the fish I caught; and it was a boat load of fish! Where taken on 15lb's Vicious, and Snack Daddy BLK/BLU Pro Tubes, fishing the Tree lines in 1-6 foot of water.

Tournament will be shown on The Outdoor Channel " BASS CHAMPS"

March 19, 2007 - Sooner - It was a windy (30 mph) weekend at Sooner lake Oklahoma, I fished the hot water discharge with a Carolina Rig Classic Destiny rod, 15 LB Vicious line, and 4" watermelon red Snack Daddy split stick. I only managed to pull three keepers, along with a mess load of shorts. In all 9th place was my finish. Sorry for the funny face in the picture; the sun was in my eyes.
