Club dues are $10.00 per year. Ages 5-10 fish junior
division and ages 11-15 fish the senior division. The club has
averaged 62 members over four years and is one of the largest
B.A.S.S. Jr. clubs in the world according to B.A.S.S. National
Federation Director Al Smith.

in Vulcan tournament
The Wichita Area Jr. Bass Club had 37 anglers compete
in their tournament at Vulcan in August. Both divisions combined
for a total of 40 fish. This was the last bank tournament and
it really has made the top overall race a close one.

The KBCF held it's first Youth
State Qualifier August 11th.
There were 24 youth anglers from across Kansas who
competed for 6 spots on the youth state team. Twenty-one of 24
combined for a total of 93 fish caught at Wilson Co. State Lake..
Peyton Westbrook And Cassidy Cox took top honors for their own
division.
Big Bass honors went to Carter Littlejohn (jr. div..) and Chelsey
McDonald (sr. div.)
The Sr. State Team will go on to compete at the Youth Invitational
Tournament in July of 2002 in Delaware.

2002.
The KBCF will be holding a State Youth Qualifier
August 11, 2001 the lake will be Woodson County Lake.
Federation Clubs are to hold pre-qualifying events
by July 21st
to get their youth qualified for the August 11th tournament.
The State team will then fish against Missouri
& Oklahoma later this year & next year, and possibly
fish the National Youth Tournament held in July of 2002
These youth have already qualified for that event.

June was a tough fishing month for the W.A.J.B.C.
June 23rd at KDOT West
The seniors had their own tournament but only produced 10
fish. Jeremy Herrman won top honors with 4 fish and 626 pts.
James Hoover took 2nd with 2 fish and 236 pts. Ryan Smith
was 3rd with 1 fish and 110 pts.

The Wichita area Jr. Bass Club held a Junior Divison (5-10) only
Tournament at a private pond. There were 38 youth in attendance.
13 of them caught a total of 22 fish.
The best bait seemed to be a Sluggo & Wacky
worm, bleeding shad,white & watermelonseed seemed to be the
best colors. Joshua Herrman took top honors with a 5 fish limit,
Ryley Giesy took big bass honors for the day.
