The Need to Fish

It's more than the need to fish
It's silence and history in the making, creatures to be discovered
It's one connection of making men to men and women to women
A right, A Want, A need
A need not to be bothered
A need to be whole
The need to fish comes from Tradition
Tradition passed down from Father to me
From his father to him
From me to mine
Fishing is a star seed grown from love
Family problems to world conflict have been solved
during the calmness of fishing
That's the reason, the need to fish is my need

James Edward Woods Jr was born in a small rural town called Vaiden, Mississippi to James and Mary Woods. He graduated from Velma Jackson High School and moved on to The University of Mississippi, majoring in Criminal Justice. With only one sesmester remaining he left college to pursue his career in Filmmaking/Acting/Writing.

He has done several commericals and also print work for magazines. James started writing two years ago, exploring different ways of being creative, getting the courage to let someone else experience his words he sent the poem entilted "Time" to the and was accepted. His first poem will be coming out in a 2007 edition of the International Library of Poetry Anthology entilted "Time."
